Every year I’m super excited to see what department stores such as Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Harrods & ect have to offer as festive window displays (sad I know). This year the Harrods window display stole my heart and my eager anticipation had not gone to waste. It had Elie Saab and Disney!! I mean what more can a girl ask for!!

Harrods had enlisted fashions elite (big names such as Elie Saab, Valentino, & Versace) to recreate a selection of Disney princesses.

As a young child I loved Disney and still do. My favourite Disney movie being Beauty and the Beast (Belle my favourite Disney princess), Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin and more recently Tangled, however I was saddened to discover that my favourite designer (Elie Saab) had not been enlisted to recreate my favourite Disney princess and adorn her in one of his exquisite haute couture gowns. Nevertheless Aurora looked beautiful in the salmon pink Elie Saab gown that was heavily beaded.

Below I have posted a few photographs of Aurora in Elie Saab!  ♥

Zuhair Murad creations have always captivated me; he basically is one of the best in my opinion when it comes to gowns. Everything he creates is just so WOW;  a real treat to the eye.  The stunning detail in each individual item reflects the refined look that is central to the Zuhair murad ethos.  So its no surprise that Zuhair Murad has become an overnight success and is such a hit with celebrities and fashonista’s around the globe.

Her husky tones, story like lyrics and charismatic female charm coupled with her youtube upload ‘videogames’ that went viral late 2011 has turned her into a world wide sensation. I discovered Lana Del Rey around November 2011 and have been in love ever since.

She dubs her self as a “self styled gangsta Nancy Sinatra” & Nancy Sinatra is pretty gangsta. Her voice is so captivating, emotive and she really is a great story teller. Her music videos seem to have a cinematic -vogue like edge which I just love. She was recently named GQ woman of the year and she totally deserved it.

Her album ‘Born To Die’ is one of my favourites of all time; my favourites are “This is What Makes us Girls’ & ‘Carmen”

Anyway she was featured in the August issue of Vogue Italia and I just loved the whole thing. She has a great sense of style; very 1950’s/1960’s American Suburbia.  (Also check out her appearence for the September issue of Vogue Australia)
