Isn’t it exciting to look back at some of the amazing outfits that were showcased in the most recent bygone fashion weeks. I absolutely loved this collection and the use of an array of colours especially the pink!

So I know it’s been a while since the Balmain RTW ’13 collection debuted at PFW but I was absent during that time in the world of bloggin’. LOL! So I shall blog my thoughts about it now.

I love Balmain and the fashion house continued to impress me with there ever stronger pieces. Olivier Rousteing; the designer is said to have been inspired by Cuba and the 1990’s singer Sade and this is very much reflected in the collection.

Olivier Rousteing once again showcased his talents when it comes to embellishments. The pieces in the collection were the reflection of a true craftsman hard at work. The collection also saw Rousteing experimenting with volume and exaggerated silhouette. The highlight of the collection for me was the use of heavy beading, thick lace and the large hoops that the models were fashioning.

Below I have posted my favourite looks and details.

The details on the dress below I just LOVE!! I need this.

Zuhair Murad creations have always captivated me; he basically is one of the best in my opinion when it comes to gowns. Everything he creates is just so WOW;  a real treat to the eye.  The stunning detail in each individual item reflects the refined look that is central to the Zuhair murad ethos.  So its no surprise that Zuhair Murad has become an overnight success and is such a hit with celebrities and fashonista’s around the globe.

Milan Fashion Week is by far my favourite. And I know it was a while ago but some of the collections showcased in this infamous fashion capital just have to be written about regardless of the length of time that has passed.

The Gucci RTW F/W 2012 was one of these collections; Dark, dangerous, gothic and ultimately very beautiful. The whole collection was oozing with noctivagant elements incorporating feathers, velvet, lace and leather crescendoing into a masterpiece of a show.

Sheer light netting, black; the whole collection very provocative with a soft touch of daintiness played on by the not so often but effective jewelled embellishments and intricate lace work. The consensus it seems was tainted poet-esque romance; a darker Romeo and Juliet. 10 out of 10.

These are my favourite pieces. X
